On Thursday, our nation will celebrate Thanksgiving Day. It’s a time when we lay aside all concerns and worries, forget about the negative things going on, and focus on the good in life—including the love of family and friends and the many blessings of God to us. It’s also a time to reflect how God loved us so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. That’s the best reason in the world to be thankful!

No matter what is going on in your life, I want to encourage you today to believe and see that you have much to be thankful for. God is always with you, and He is always there to handle whatever difficulties arise in your life. Romans 8:28 says, “all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” And Isaiah 54:17 promises that no weapon formed against us—including no evil deeds or schemes devised against us by the devil—will prosper or succeed. Carol and I love you and pray that you have a blessed Thanksgiving Day with family and friends!
