Do you know anyone who can honestly say they prefer having bad things happen to them rather than receiving the goodness that God has to offer? I can’t think of a single person. That would make no sense. As God’s children, we are blessed with good things. Proverbs 10:22, New Living Translation, tells us, “The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.” That should be an encouragement to you as you begin this new week. So, let me ask: Are you ready for God to do something miraculous for you—to expand your borders and take you to places you never dreamed? Brother Oral Roberts used to say it like this: “Something good is going to happen to you!” Something good is exactly what God has promised to every born-again believer. And it’s because of that very promise that you can wake up every morning with a smile on your face, expecting God to do something wonderful and miraculous in your life. But even as you wait with expectancy for that “something good” to happen, don’t forget all the good God has already done in your life—beginning with the day he saved you. And it’s gotten better and better with every passing day. In Exodus 34:10, New Living Translation, God told Moses: “Listen, I am making a covenant with you in the presence of all your people. I will perform miracles that have never been performed anywhere in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people around you will see the power of the Lord—the awesome power I will display for you.” God has a plan to fill your life with blessings and miracles. That’s the “something good” Brother Roberts was talking about. It’s what you should be believing and expecting every day as you prepare to receive from Him. Pray and purpose to keep your focus on God and stay in His presence—to be in the right position, the right place at the right time so you don’t miss what God has for you. Get ready to receive your miracles!
