Much of our lives is spent focusing on our needs and how we’re going to take care of them—whether it’s for our family or ourselves. Even if we don’t talk about it all the time, it’s always in the back of our minds. But the truth is, in much the same way God delivered the children of Israel and provided for them, He has already made provision for us and our families today. He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for us and give us a life filled with hope, blessing, and prosperity. Jesus died to redeem us from the curse of sin so we could live in abundance (John 10:10). He became our atonement! And just as God expected the Israelites to celebrate their freedom by worshipping Him and remembering His faithfulness, and bringing offerings to Him, He desires the same from you and me.
