If you’re like most believers, more than likely you live each day expecting God to move in great and mighty ways—not just in your life, but in the lives of others as well. And that’s a great way to live, especially when you know you can trust God to keep His promises. God is always faithful to His Word. If He says He will do something, then you can count on Him to come through—every time! But how do you respond when God doesn’t move as quickly as you had hoped and prayed—or, maybe not at all?

That can be a huge challenge and disappointment for some, especially if they are not truly living by faith. They see how others are prospering, how God is blessing them, and they want the same. An important key to receiving from God is patience. If what you’re believing and praying for is God’s will for you, then it will happen—according to His timing. Meanwhile, keep believing God and keep expecting. Trust the Holy Spirit to help you to walk firmly and stand in faith while you wait patiently on Him. And while you’re waiting, think about what God has already done for you and thank Him for those things.
