It’s so easy to become so pre-occupied with the busyness of everyday life, and helping others, that we neglect ourselves. We lose focus of the promises of God and those things He has planned and purposed for our lives. While it’s good that we bless others, it’s important that we remember that God has a plan and purpose for us. Before the foundation of the world He planned your life and charted every step you would take on the way to reaching your destiny. And today, He is still determined to help you get there. Jeremiah 29:11, The Message, says, “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” Just as you desire to do good to others, God desires to do good things for you. And He will. He’s just waiting for you to exercise your faith so that His plans for you will come to pass. If you believe God will do what He said, and continue to focus on His promises to you, then you’ll see Him move dramatically in your life.
