Ever look at yourself in the mirror and wonder things like, Who am I? Why am I here. What is my purpose in life? More importantly, have you ever wondered what God thinks about you? If you’re a believer, then from a spiritual perspective there’s only one way that God will ever see you, and there’s only one thought He will have about you. He sees you just as He sees all His children—just like Him! The Bible says we are made in the image of God—His exact likeness! And because that’s true, we can be assured that, though it doesn’t seem that way sometime, we are living, breathing images of Almighty God! That’s what Jesus meant when He prayed to His Father, “I’m praying not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me because of them and their witness about me. The goal is for all of them to become one heart and mind—Just as you, Father, are in me and I in you, so they might be one heart and mind with us” (John 17:20, The Message). That goal was reached when Jesus died on the cross for you and me. Now, when God looks at us, He sees His Son, Jesus.
