Do you ever express your thanks to God by singing to Him? If not, you should. The Bible tells us in Psalm 95: 2, Amplified Bible, Classic Edition, “Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise!” And Psalm 145:3, New Living Translation, says, “Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!” As believers, we have so much to be thankful for. Over and over again, God has proven just how much He loves us by meeting our needs, faithfully answering our prayers, and giving us the secret desires of our hearts. By His Holy Spirit, He guides us through each day, and watches over us at night so that our sleep is peaceful. When we need to talk, He listens. With God, we are never alone. What man on earth could ever do for us what God delights to do? That’s more than enough reason to make a joyful noise unto the Lord (Psalm 98:4) and sing praises to His name (Psalm 68:4)—to declare as the psalmist said, “I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever” (Psalm 145:2, NLT).
