  • Have you ever wondered why God gave you life? Do you even know the value of life and the purpose for the many experiences you will have? You see, if you don’t know the truth about the purpose for life experiences, you will never mature; confront the obstacles; conquer your fears; and most importantly, live life to the fullest. “The ability to succeed in life doesn’t come from you. It comes from God.” Some people may listen to what I am saying and be quick to rebuke me, because this kind of teaching goes against their religious philosophy. But one thing is for sure, you will miss what God intended for you to be and have when you don’t empower yourself with knowledge.
  • You have allowed people and your circumstances to define God’s love towards you. I’ll take this a step further to say, many of you have allowed society’s definition of beauty, fashion, wealth, fame and happiness to shape your opinion of God’s level of love towards you. So for example, because of what you see happening to other people such as their wealthy appearance and possession, you have concluded that God’s favor upon them is greater than what He has placed upon you.
  • We all experience times when we feel abandoned by God—that our prayers are going unanswered and He has turned His face against us. But as you’ll discover in this revealing teaching, that’s when you should praise God the most. He has not abandoned you. You are actually experiencing a “God-moment” in life where He is positioning you for a spiritual upgrade. Learn how praise is your weapon to ward off Satan’s distractions, and unlock the windows of heaven so God’s blessings can be poured out on you. Don’t let the devil’s lies cause you to blame God, step out of His will and miss your victory or your blessings. Re-position yourself by exercising your faith in God and believing His Word. Focus on Him and what He has already done and promised to do in your life. Let praise become your weapon, and watch God give you a spiritual upgrade.

  • Topic: Winning Is Possible The scripture that comes to my mind that best describes the possibility of winning is, Luke 21: 19 NIV "Stand firm, and you will win in life" Here we can see that winning in life is possible; however, it requires one to be rooted and grounded in the faith. Why is this so? You see, winning in life will not come easy. There's a price to be paid , and a very expensive one at that.

  • It is very important that you and I be reminded of the faithfulness of God and His everlasting protection that shields us from the schemes of the devil, to have us doubt him.  With this in mind, you should know that the hand of God will carry you through every season of your life; and, regardless of the issues you face in life, God is with you every step of the way. Knowing this will keep us excited and help us to maintain our hope that God will make His word good in our lives. Speaker: Bishop Fernandez   4/7/19

  • Ephesians 2:10 AMP For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]. The journey through life is really about the process of becoming. It’s about becoming who God has created you to be. All throughout your life, you will go through a series of transformation and that transformation is what gets you to be a reflection of God’s image for your life.
  • It is becoming increasingly clearer to me that God is performing his promises every day. Whether His promises are blessings based on our obedience, or curses based on our disobedience; God will not allow His word to go unfulfilled. Let’s be clear about what God will not do, he will not lie. There will be an undeniable performance of God’s word just like it is written in the bible. Isaiah gave us an example of how powerful God’s word is and what He truly wants it to do. Isaiah 55:10-11 ESV “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my month; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”

  • Language is the greatest and most powerful form of communication. Language is the method of human communication, either spoken or written. Research shows that there are approximately 7,111 languages being spoken today around the world; therefore, it’s safe to say we have 7,111 ways to express ourselves to each other. The way we speak to each other, not just in words but also in our tone and body language can stimulate love or hate.
  • I find it very strange that Job, the man who went through a horrific time in his life would pen these words in Job 10 verse 12 (NKJV) “You have granted me life and favor, and your care has preserved my spirit.” How could a man who lost everything he ever possessed still say, “You have granted me favor?” Let me walk you through a series of bad events Job went through, and it all started at a good time in his life.
  • Have you ever asked yourself the question, what kind of a life God requires us to live? This is a question all of us must answer. We must answer this question, because our ability to answer it correctly, will thrust us into a journey of discovering the power of God’s word that will transform our lives. Romans 1:17 (KJV), states, “…the just shall live by faith.” The NIV says, “…the righteous will live by faith.” Speaker: Bishop Fernandez 5/5/19
  • Today marks an important day in the Christian faith journey. Palm Sunday is one week before Resurrection Sunday, and it marks the beginning of what is called Holy Week. It is the day Christians remember and celebrate the day Jesus entered into Jerusalem as Savior and King. It is recorded in Matthew 21:4 (KJV), that the prophet Zechariah had already prophesied in chapter 9:9 KJV "Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your King comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt the foal of a donkey." Speaker: Bishop Fernandez  4/14/19
  • It’s in challenging times like these we find people asking questions that at times seem difficult to answer. They ask questions like, where is God, and why is He allowing these horrible things to happen in the world that impact even His followers. Some even asked, “Where is the church, and where is the influence of the church and its leaders in what’s happening? Some people are very discouraged and disappointed that their spiritual leaders, brothers and sisters in Christ, aren’t able to conduct weekly church services.
  • Proverbs 13:3 amplified The one who guards his mouth [thinking before he speaks] protects his life; The one who opens his lips wide [and chatters without thinking] comes to ruin.  Your ability to keep your tongue is a sign that you love your life and you want to have good days. 1 Peter 3:10 ESV For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; Your thoughts will frame your words, and your words frame your character. In order to avoid slipping into regretting ungodly behaviors, you must allow the word of God to be the filter of your words. I think we all struggle with keeping our mouths from always agreeing with our thoughts. Everyone must work towards controlling the words that come out of our mouth.
  • Scripture: 1 Peter 1: 18-21 MSG 18-21 “Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in. He paid with Christ’s sacred blood, you know. He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. And this was no afterthought. Even though it has only lately—at the end of the ages—become public knowledge, God always knew he was going to do this for you. It’s because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God.” It’s very unfortunate that many people only see their journey in life as something challenging, stressful and unbearable, and they fail to see the amazing opportunities life has to offer. This is where many people have allowed the issues of life to short change them, meaning they have allowed the challenging, stressful and unbearable issues to dictate the quality of their lives. I promise you that your perspective of life will change to one that is exciting, adventurous and amazing when you see it as God ordained.

  • The book of Mark and Luke was written by two men who were not disciples of Christ.

In fact, these 2 men were close friends of and companions to 2 of Jesus' disciples.

Mark, whose name is John Mark, was a ministry aid to Peter, one of the 12.

Likewise, Luke was an aid and ministry partner of Paul.

Luke was also known as "Saint Luke the evangelist.

  • It is said that the book of John was originally written in Greek. John was the son of Zebedee, a Galilean fisherman. He was the brother of James, and both were disciples of Christ. His birth place was Bethsaida. He lived in Capernaum in Galilee and was a fisherman by trade. It's important to note that John was truly loved by Jesus and this is specifically mentioned about 6 times in his book.
