  • It's important to note that the meaning of the word "Gospel" is:

    -Good news

The good news is the message of hope Jesus Christ offers to humanity.

Man was created to fulfill God's purpose on the earth; yet, he chose to disobey that purpose, resulting in him falling into sin, and sin caused death.

Man was lost. And even with all of the Old Testament practices formed by many people to be forgiven, nothing good reconnected man back to God free from the sting of death.

  • 2 Chronicles 20:15 NIV  "He said: "Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: "Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's." If there's anything we all can learn from the story of Jehoshaphat and the battles he and the people of Judah had to fight is this, they had to stay encouraged and hopeful that God would deliver them from their enemies.
  • This topic is suggesting that you should overpower depression, not allowing it to overpower you. This topic is suggesting you should have the victory over every situation the enemy presents to you that potentially leads to depression.
  • It was not long ago I preached a message titled, "Broken For A Cause," and the take away from that message was, every difficult and challenging situation serves a purpose in our lives.

Our brokenness brings us to seek God for clarity and deep appreciation for what He has done for us.

We live in a society that believe if you are hurting, struggling and broken, something is wrong with you.

God is not with you and maybe he is punishing you.

That is deceiving and a lie.

  • Ephesians 6:11 NLT 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.  Ephesians 6:13 NLT 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.   I am not sure many of you understand the season you are in, that this is not just a normal season for you. These are not normal times for you; in fact, many of you have never ever been under such attacks before. Some of you are exhausted, frustrated and confused over the challenges you are currently faced with on a daily basis. And you were hoping for things to get a little bit better this year, but that did not happen. But God sent me here today especially to give you new strategies to remain strong and victorious throughout this season.
