• Scripture: John 10:27-28 ESV It is absolutely important that you have the ability to recognize God’s voice distinctively from all the other voices seeking to get your attention. And yes, there’re many voices seeking every day to get your attention. I want you to know that there’re things you were sent on the earth to do; there’re people's lives you are sent to impact, and there’re many difficulties you will encounter throughout life that will require someone helping you to navigate through them. Therefore, you need a voice to speak to you, helping you to know for sure you are making the right moves.
  • The last few days have been challenging for all of us. Once again, we are faced with the reality that life and the things it has to offer are just vapor. Today we have them, and in a moment, we can lose them. We can wake up healthy, wealthy, strong and happy; and in a moment, everything can be taken from us. Somehow, we keep forgetting that everything has a season and a set time to exist; therefore, we keep constructing every area of our lives thinking our alternative securities outside of Christ are solid and unbreakable. So we keeping hoping for big things in our future and very little hope and trust in God. I hope you will agree with me that all foundations outside of Christ will ultimately fall. Only what’s built on Christ will last forever.

  • Hopefully, all of you will agree with me that everyone will go through different processes in their lifetime. I have been sharing with you for a while now that the process is all about the various challenges we face in life. And these challenges take us through different processes. You see, when you understand that the issues you face each day are a part of the process that develops your character and wisdom, your outlook on life changes. If all of us would be honest to ourselves, we will confess that we don’t understand the reason for God allowing some of the things we deal with in life.
  • John 10:27-28 AMP 27 The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me.  28 And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand. It can be frustrating at times to figure out which opportunity God orchestrated. The reality is we all get confronted with opportunities, but the battle in the mind is to sort out which one requires a leap of faith and which ones we should walk away from. I hope you know that not everything that looks good, feels good and come with bells and whistles, are actually good for you. Make no mistake about it, life requires the spirit of discernment to make right moves; if not, you will make wrong choices. And let me just say this, all of us will at some point make wrong choices, and it’s ok. That is a part of the journey to being mature, wise and prepared.

  • All of us were created with an assignment to meet and a destiny to fulfill. And when you meet your assignment, meaning you know what it is, your destiny becomes clear. It becomes easier to want to start doing your earthly assignments and having the passion to finish them. There is a beginning and an ending to everything in life.  And if you can understand this, then you won’t allow the issues of life to cause you to doubt that you can finish life having a happy ending.

  • Scripture: Psalm 107:28-31 ESV 28 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. 29 He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. 30 Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven. 31 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! The storm I am referring to is not the recent storm that affected parts of The Bahamas, nor is it any other storms of the past. I am referring to a violent disturbance of the atmosphere threatening every area of your life. It’s the destructive schemes of the devil that attacks every structure of your life that sustains you. Everyone of us will experience storms, as we journey through life. This should not be a surprise to us.

  • Ephesians 6:11 NLT 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.  Ephesians 6:13 NLT 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.   I am not sure many of you understand the season you are in, that this is not just a normal season for you. These are not normal times for you; in fact, many of you have never ever been under such attacks before. Some of you are exhausted, frustrated and confused over the challenges you are currently faced with on a daily basis. And you were hoping for things to get a little bit better this year, but that did not happen. But God sent me here today especially to give you new strategies to remain strong and victorious throughout this season.

  • Scripture: 2 Peter 1:3 NIV  His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. The fact that we have the favor of God on our lives, is a reminder that His favor has given us the ability to perform all of our responsibilities on the earth. We all have responsibilities in life, from preteen all the way to adulthood. And we have been given the power to perform well in all stages of life.
  • As I conclude this series of messages that deals with the favor of God, it is my hope that all of you would become familiar with these messages to empower yourself to live God’s best for your life. You owe this to yourself, to get acquainted with what’s at your disposal as a believer. I promise you, if you get all 3 messages in the series, they will change your life for the better; and, they will clearly reprogram your thinking, when it comes to your identity in Christ. In each of these messages, I shared with you that the favor of God is upon you, and it is an irreversible blessing.
  • There’s no doubt we have seen in the last couple of days a lot of panicking and fear all over the world. People are panicking because of the uncertainty of who may be carrying the Conoravirus and who may be infected by it. While I may not know the full facts behind how this virus started, how it spread so quickly and how long before it can be contained, I can tell you this much, our God is fully in control of the outcome of this pandemic. Knowing this, you and I should rest in the fact that our protection and deliverance from any pandemic and our eternal destiny are in God’s hands.

  • I firmly believe the main reason people fall apart when faced with challenging times is, they fail to discern that every phase in life presents an opportunity to embrace something new. Please don’t forget that God is always doing new things; you should always be ready to embrace what He is doing. You have to let go of the past, and embrace the future with optimism. Today, you have entered into a new phase of your life, and it’s up to you to decide if you will embrace the new phase or stay outdated with the past. Isaiah 43:18-19 ESV “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

  • Every day, as you live your life, there are many things and people who are seeking to gain your attention. It is also important to note that the people, or things that are trying to get your attention are doing so for two reasons:
    1. To encourage and empower you, or
    2. To distract you                      Speaker: Bishop Fernandez  5/26/19
  • Scripture: Jonah 1:1-10 NIV There are some people who have stopped praying and believing for God to give instructions and blessings in their lives. This is caused by the influence from society and a mindset that says, “If you don’t get what you want when you want it, just ignore that path, and try another path.” For some reason, many people are not satisfied with God’s path for their lives, so they seek for other ways to find instructions and material blessings.
