Proverbs 13:3 amplified
The one who guards his mouth [thinking before he speaks] protects his life;
The one who opens his lips wide [and chatters without thinking] comes to ruin.
Your ability to keep your tongue is a sign that you love your life and you want to have good days.
1 Peter 3:10 ESV
For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit;
Your thoughts will frame your words, and your words frame your character.
In order to avoid slipping into regretting ungodly behaviors, you must allow the word of God to be the filter of your words.
I think we all struggle with keeping our mouths from always agreeing with our thoughts.
Everyone must work towards controlling the words that come out of our mouth.
