On Thursday, we will celebrate Thanksgiving. This holiday always brings opportunity for us to focus on and give thanks to God for the good in our lives—including the love of family and the many blessings of God that surround us. It’s also a time that we reflect on God’s mercy and grace, beginning with the fact that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. But what about others? Do you also take this time to give thanks to God for saving others? Or asking Him to give you an opportunity to witness to someone and share the Gospel so that they can come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior just as you know Him? It’s a different perspective on what Thanksgiving is all about, but it’s certainly one that reflects its true meaning. As you celebrate Thanksgiving this week, reflecting on the many ways God has blessed you and your family, remember to thank Him for choosing you to be His spokesperson. Thank Him for helping you be bold and willing to tell others about Him, His love, and the salvation that is available to them through believing in and accepting Jesus. Have a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
