I’ve said this before, but in light of what’s taking place in our world today, it’s worth repeating: As a believer you will never be free from the attacks of the enemy. Not in this life, anyway. But here’s the good news: The Word of God says you don’t have to fall victim to those attacks and give in to fear when the devil tries to stop you—not when God has given you a word of victory. What is that word? STAND! God says when the enemy tries to attack you, don’t become fearful. Don’t cower and run away. Instead, stand and fight. The devil will always try to keep you in a place of fear. He knows that, because you’re a believer, God has great things in store for you. If he can get your mind off of those good things, and cause you to focus on the bad that’s going on around you, then he can strike fear in your heart. You’ll begin to doubt God’s Word, and His ability to keep His promises. Once the devil gets you over in the arena of fear, it’s all over. Don’t let that happen. Instead of allowing the devil to get a grip on you, stand your ground—knowing who you are in Christ Jesus and that God is always on your side. Follow the advice of Apostle Paul: “Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
