Entering the month of November puts us in the mindset of the holiday season. With Thanksgiving approaching, let’s spend our devotion time thinking about that. Being thankful. By that, I mean doing what God says to do in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, which is: “In every thing give thanks.” The Message says it like this: “Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.” God says no matter what comes our way, whether it’s good or bad, as believers and children of Almighty God, we are to always maintain a thankful attitude. Why? Because we have so much to be thankful for—beginning with Jesus’ sacrifice on Calvary so that we could be restored to a right relationship and fellowship with God. The reality is, when we spend all our time being thankful, we leave no room for complaining and being ungrateful. Get ready for a month of celebration and THANKSGIVING!
