Tomorrow is Christmas Day, and no doubt you’ve been feeling all kinds of vibes of excitement leading up to that very special day—from gifts you’ll give and receive, to the delicious food being prepared, to the fun you’ll enjoy with family and friends. But what about the one vibe we should be celebrating not just at this time of the year, but all year long? What about the “restoration” vibe that points to the true reason for the season—the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ?

It’s great to be excited about Christmas and look forward to all the good things the season brings. But as believers, we always want to be careful not to ever forget what Christmas really means to us—that it represents the birth of Jesus Christ. Because of His great love for us, God poured out His grace, mercy and favor on all mankind by giving His Son as a ransom for our sins (John 3:16-17). It’s about remembering Jesus and celebrating our restoration and renewed fellowship with God through His sacrifice. That’s the vibe that gives us hope, new life, and opportunities to succeed and have an abundant life. Carol and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed and prosperous New Year!
