Happy New Year, and welcome to “The Year of Uncommon Opportunities.” That’s the word the Lord spoke into my heart about 2020 and I am excited to see what He has in store for us this year, both individually and as a corporate church body. The word uncommon means “unusual, rare or out of the ordinary.” As you purpose to stay focused on God and His Word, to faithfully commit to serving and obeying Him in this new year, that’s what you can expect to happen in your life. You can expect to see God do things for and through you that are unusual, rare and out of the ordinary. The Bible calls us “a peculiar people” (1 Peter 2:9). That means we’re not like the world. We are chosen by God, created in His image and likeness, and set aside to do things differently from how the world does them. That’s His Anointing and presence within us and His favor on us! So, get ready to see great change in your life, and the lives of relatives, friends and those around you in this new year. Expect God to give you uncommon opportunities to do great and powerful things that will bless you and others, and bring praise and glory to Him and victory, power and success to His kingdom
