Are you walking in the love of God? By that, I mean do you show love to others even when they’re not loving and kind toward you? First Corinthians 13:4-8, New International Version, tells us: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” That’s how God defines love, and that’s how He expects us, as believers, to live. Sometimes showing love can be challenging—especially when those you’re trying to love are so unloving. But if you’re truly a child of God, then you’re truly just like God. You’re made in His image and likeness, which means you also have all His attributes—including the ability to love. As a believer, You are commissioned by God to love others. That means being patient and kind, regardless of their attitudes. You are a child of Almighty God. He is Love, and so you must love the way He loves!
